LMC Gator Expectations
We expect all Greenbrier Gators, big and small, to be good citizens of our library.  Remember the LMC is a shared space. Treat all LMC materials with care and be respectful of all of the other visitors in the library.

Renewing Materials
A book may be renewed once unless there is a hold on it.

Overdue Materials
Please be considerate and return materials on time. Other kids may want to read your book!

Kindergarteners, First, and Second Graders
If you forget your book, you will get an "Oops" slip to help you remember to bring back your book.
You may put a new book on a temporary one day hold. When you bring your old book back, you may get your new book.
During LMC, you may enjoy a "Look Book" in the library.

Third, Fourth, and Fifth Graders
If you forget your book, you may put a new book on a temporary one day hold.
When you bring your old book back, you may get your new book.

During LMC, you may enjoy a book while in the library.

The LMC will print Individual overdue notices periodically and put them in teachers' mailboxes for distribution.
You will not be allowed to check-out if you have an overdue book.

During checkout time, if you are not getting new books, you will use that time to read.

Lost or Damaged Materials
If you damage a book and it cannot be repaired or if you lose a book, you will be charged the current replacement cost of the book set by District guidelines. Current guidelines are $18 for any hardcover book, $8 for any paperback, and $10 for any board book. Damaged books are assessed on an individual basis.

You may replace the book at your own cost as long as it is brand new and an identical match to the book you are replacing.
If you find the book within the school year, we will refund your fine!

Returning Books to AHML
If you accidentally returned a Greenbrier library book to the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, don't worry! The Memorial Library will return the books to Greenbrier, although it might take a couple of weeks.
